I’m Gabriel Dimonde, a mechanical engineer and PhD student researching geodesic path planning on Riemannian manifolds, Gauss’s Principle of Least Constraint, and low-power robotic sensing.

I’m driven by deriving mathematical models for physical systems, from advanced dynamics and kinematics to heat transfer and machine design. At BlueCollar, I learned that elegant solutions beat perfect ones: ship what works, efficiently.

I’m drawn to industries where engineering moves the needle: agricultural automation, energy conversion, space exploration, and environmental conservation. Long-term, I want to teach, to be the kind of old dude who inspires his students to work with a higher capacity to care.

Outside of engineering: lifting, learning, and the people who make it worthwhile.
